Organic and Wildcrafted Essential Oils

There are many different grades of essential oils…

How Can You Know You’re Getting The Best Ones?

The Plant: Let’s start with the plant itself. Organic plants have more vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, and phytochemicals (healing plant chemicals) in them than non-organic plants because of the way the plants are organically grown. Organic plants are better nutrition to feed our bodies! Ask anyone who really knows about organic produce and they will tell you. That’s why everyone want organic foods!

Distillation: If you take that organic plant matter and distill it down into an essential oil the resulting essential oil will have more antioxidants, chemical constituants, and healing phytochemicals because these things existed more abundantly in the organic produce to begin with. The organic chemical compounds found in essential oils are up to 100 times more concentrated than they are found in the plant itself. The result is that there is significantly more of the “good” stuff (antioxidants, chemical constituants, and phytochemicals) found in organic essential oils. Shop for All Organic Essential Oils>

BUT that’s not all….Non organic oils come from plants that have been sprayed with herbicides, insecticides, pesticides, and chemical fertilizers. That is what makes plants NON organic! Once the plants are sprayed with these toxic chemicals it is impossible to remove them, and those toxic chemicals do come through the distillation process and are found in your essential oil ALSO concentrated! Be aware that companies that use NON organic oils will deny this, they will claim their oils are pure and there’s no toxic chemicals in them, but the ONLY way for you to be sure is to use organic oils.

So How Do You Tell If Your Bottle of Essential Oils Are Organic Or Not?

You should see it written right on the label of every bottle of organic essential oils. It will say in the list of ingredients: “pure organic essential oil”. If that is not written right on every bottle of essential oil then you are not enjoying the greater benefits of organic essential oils. Be sure the word “organic” or “wildcrafted” is on every label of every bottle of essential oils. This is what you want to see on every bottle:

What is the difference between organic and wildcrafted?

Wildcrafted essential oils are even better than organically farmed essential oils. Wildcrafted essential oils are those certain plants that grow wild – like weeds in some parts of the world. These wildcrafted plants are not planted or farmed or sprayed with any chemicals. The plant naturally grows where it likes to grow in it’s natural habitat: on the hillside, in the desert, or in shady areas that it likes. Wild crafted plants are not treated, they just spontaneously grow out in the wild. Harvesting is usually done by native people where the plant naturally grows.

So how do you tell if your essential oils are wildcrafted or not?

You should see it written right on the label of every bottle of wildcrafted essential oils. It will say in the list of ingredients: “pure wildcrafted essential oil”. If that is not written right on every bottle of essential oil then you are not enjoying the greater benefits of wildcrafted essential oils. Certified organic and wildcrafted essential oilsare more difficult to source and they cost more to buy. Companies who are actually paying for these higher grade essential oils are not going to forget to put it on the label. If “organic” or “wildcrafed” is not written on every label of every bottle of essential oil you have, then they are not organic or wildcrafted essential oils. If that’s the case, what you have is a lower grade non-organic essential oil. Shop for All Organic Essential Oils>

Organic & Wildcrafted essential oils are ALWAYS better quality essential oils than the non-organic ones…

What makes a plant non-organic?

Non-organic plants are sprayed with insecticides, pesticides, chemical fertilizers, and sewage sludge (that is what makes plants non-organic!). Those harsh and harmful chemicals go through the distillation process and are found IN your non-organic essential oils; and just like the good chemicals in organic essential oils, those toxic chemicals are concentrated up to 100 times in the resulting essential oil!!! If you are using essential oils that are not organic or wildcrafted (and if it doesn’t say “organic” or “wildcrafted” right on every label of essential oils) then you are getting a much lower quality essential oil. Not only are non-organic essential oils not as good for your body as organic essential oils are, but they may have toxic essential_oils_bluechemicals in them!

You probably noticed that these essential oils are sold in blue glass bottles. Did you know cobalt blue glass bottles cost twice as much as light brown (amber) bottles do? But cobalt blue bottles protect the integrity of the quality of the essential oils far better than amber bottles. We did not want these pristine, beautiful oils to be in amber bottles because the essential oil would not last as long as it will in blue bottles. The labels are not see through, and they cover all the way around the bottle. This was intentional and it further protects your oils from light which can quickly deteriorate essential oils.
